i make music. usually with guitar, but sometimes with other things, like computers, synthesizers, vocal cords, bass clarinets, saxophones, or other things that i can't remember right now.
i also make visual art. most of it comes from messing around with processing which is very cool for doing algorithmic art or just trying to think about art in a cool different way i guess. big fan of using different tools and seeing what comes out when you try to make art with them. most of my album art comes from a combination of that or using other open source editing software (e.g. gimp, which i see people shit on a lot but it's fine). been branching out to using more physical media too which is always fun. i love watercolors and wish i worked with them more. highly recommend just carrying around a little sketchpad and pen and just drawing stuff when you get a free second. i'd been using a book of index cards and one of those shitty multicolor pens, then just go some place cool and just doodle. it's been a good way for me to get out of the house.
i also sometimes make video art. still very fresh at this, but mostly use blender for making simple animations. again, this is usually a vessel for me to put my music under it, but as i said before, learning new tools is cool!! what you end up making is always in some way determined by your tools so it's cool to see how that influences what you want to create, and what you end up creating.
